BACK TO GOLD

Kerry – Back to Gold jersey launch.

Jersey design in collaboration with O Neill’s Sportswear for Kerry GAA. The jersey revisits the iconic Kerry jersey of the mid-1980s returning to it’s deep green and gold roots with white collar and cuffs. Number visibility was a key concern for Kerry County Board voiced through supporter concerns. This was addressed by raising the position of the numerals so they sat mainly on the dark green part of the jersey improving definition, the deeper base colours also helping achieve that definition.

The storytelling content was shot at Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney. The new jersey acted as a cross-generational conduit as it was handed over from Mick O’ Dwyer, manager of the great Kerry team of the 70’s and 80’s, to Paidi Óg Ó Sé, son of 1985 Kerry captain Páidi Ó Sé.

An embossed crest on the rear hemline commemorated 130 years of Kerry GAA in 2018.
