Language and culture drive the creative process at Go Dare Creative. Autumn 16 was inspired by old images of Irish poet and playwright Samuel Beckett. Born Mad was inspired by a line from Beckett’s Waiting For Godot, which says “we are all born mad, some remain so.”

As well as reflecting Beckett’s distinguished personal style with lots of texture, tweeds, Arans, checks and deep colours, the Born Mad collection is also a commentary on the obsession with mental health in modern day society and culture.

Photographer John Minihan’s Beckett archive provided further visual inspiration for the style and overall aesthetic of the collection.
